The SolidWorks Research licenses offered here are for research. This is the commercial version of the software, but restricted to educational research only. i.e. it can't be used for commercial purposes. These are concurrent licenses, meaning they can be installed on as many computers as needed, but a license server restricts the number of instances running at any given time to the number of copies ordered.
Seattle campus only. Bothell and Tacoma researchers need to contact a VAR, such as Hawk Ridge Systems, and obtain their own licensing.
The software is leased on an annual basis and needs to be renewed each June.
