Get guidance on some of our most frequently asked questions and specific policies for Engineering Student Organizations.

General use and access

General Assignment Classrooms (GACs) are managed through UW Academic Technologies. Email specialevents@uw.edu or visit the UW website for more information. The IEB team can not approve reservation requests for any GAC.

Current College of Engineering (CoE) students enrolled at the UW, as well as CoE faculty and staff, can reserve study rooms or meeting spaces in the IEB. Some charges may apply.  Visit the Reservations page for more information.

You can reserve a study room or meeting space by going to mymazevo.com and signing in with your UW NetID. Visit the Reservations page for more information.

Study rooms are reservable for a maximum of three hours at a time, in order to let other students reserve and use the spaces.

You can cancel or change your reservation by going to mymazevo.com, signing in with your UW NetID, and navigating to your reservation to either cancel or change it. Visit the Reservations page for more information.

Conference rooms have displays that you can connect to with an HDMI. Outlets are available in every room. Please send any requests to iebinfo@uw.edu if other technology would be helpful. You can see more detailed information on the set up of each room on the IEB Spaces page.

Food is not allowed in study or closed-door meeting rooms, as rooms are cleaned once per week. Failure to follow this can result in not having access to make free reservations.

UW has paid visitor parking in many places on campus. The following are the closest lots to the IEB.

  • N22: 24/7 ADA Parking ONLY. 
  • Padelford Garage, N16 & N18: Visitor parking only allowed after 4pm. 
  • Padelford Garage, N20 & N21: 24/7 visitor parking.
  • E18: 24/7 visitor parking.

Guidance for Engineering Student Organizations (ESOs)

Only Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) affiliated with CoE can reserve event spaces. Events must occur during business hours (including setup and breakdown times). To reserve, ensure your ESO email account is registered correctly in Mazevo. This will require authorization and can be requested by emailing iebevents@uw.edu with the ESO's official email account. After the official ESO email account is authorized, you will have access to request event spaces on mymazevo.com. Some charges may apply. Visit mymazevo.com for more information.

No. There is no storage allowed at IEB unless authorized through an academic class.

Any applicable rates can be found on mymazevo.com or online.

Yes, multiple ESOs can co-host an event, but there must be one representative that is in charge of managing the reservation when reserving through mymazevo.com. IEB is unable to split the reservation cost at this time.
