Greetings,
Thank you for your participation in the efforts to get us Back to Campus safely and efficiently. You will find an archive of past digests at our website.
With King and Pierce counties in Phase 2 of Governor Inslee’s Safe Start Plan, we have received many questions regarding the College of Engineering’s status. Though UW Seattle Campus is now in Phase 2, the College of Engineering has not yet applied to move from Phase 1. That means remote work is still required, with the exception of designated critical employees and applies to the College of Engineering and all related departments. We will let you know when we at the College of Engineering have been approved to move to Phase 2.
Returning to Campus
- As of 7/1/2020, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) has a new reporting structure, and reports to the President’s Office.
- On 6/30/2020, the UW’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) convened to review response actions, including the establishment of an on-campus COVID-19 rapid testing site for those living in Greek housing this summer; the Storefront status; Building Readiness Guidelines; and advance planning for expanded campus test sites (fall) and future mass vaccination clinics.
- EH&S has a “Report a Concern” page where you may anonymously report compliance concerns with COVID-19 safety requirements.
- If your department or lab has issues procuring PPE (access, supply chain, etc) please contact the Dean’s office at coeinfo@uw.edu for assistance.
- EH&S requires this online training for all persons on campus (faculty, staff, and students), even if they have already been working onsite as a critical employee, prior to returning to campus.
- Daily attestations are required for all staff and academic personnel coming to campus.
- For staff and student employees/supervisors
- For academic personnel, including faculty, librarians, medical residents and fellows, postdoctoral scholars, and academic staff
- UW Facilities COVID-19 guidelines can now be found online.
