Technology transfer
Our Industry Relations Officer facilitates the commercialization of new innovations arising from University of Washington research by managing intellectual property. The formal process captures the intellectual output of UW research, protects it through patents and copyrights, and licenses it to industry for the ultimate benefit of society. At the UW, we view technology commercialization as another way the university teaches the public about research discoveries and promotes economic benefit.
Support faculty and students
Corporate & Foundation Relations (CFR) builds relationships between companies and engineering students, programs, and faculty.
