Engineering Academic Center (EAC)

The EAC is a supportive, communal study space to hone the skills needed to succeed in core courses such as math, physics, chemistry, and introductory engineering. Stop by to work on homework with other engineering students, access tutoring, prepare for exams, and build community.

Our mission

The EAC is a student-focused learning community for engineering undergraduates that supports their growth academically and professionally in an inclusive environment based on best practices for problem-solving and collaboration.

Study groups and tutoring

The EAC offers three forms of in-person support: workshops, study groups, and drop-in office hours/tutoring. Follow the link below for more information, including schedules and how to register.

Supported courses vary by term, including:

Math: 12x, 207/208, Amath 301

Eng. fundamentals: AA 210/260, ME 230/123, CEE 220, MSE 170, EE 215

Access resources

Academic success coaching

Connect with a peer coach for help with study strategies, time management, goal setting, and motivation. They can also refer you to campus resources. Academic success coaches provide 1-1 sessions to meet your academic needs.

Meet Sehrish, your academic success coach! Sehrish is passionate about helping others in the engineering school—whether through guidance, mentorship, or simply being a source of encouragement. Her goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, feels empowered to succeed.

Unless previously reserved, our study spaces are available for open study 9 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday (except on holidays)
