Baris Kasikci joins the Allen School this fall from the University of Michigan where he was an assistant professor of computer science. Kasikci has also worked as a researcher and software engineer at Microsoft Research Cambridge, Google, Intel, VMware and Siemens.
His research focuses on building techniques to create efficient and trustworthy computer systems. Kasikci draws on systems, computer architecture and programming languages to address datacenter applications, systems support, the security of modern hardware and more. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the NSF CAREER award, an Intel Rising Star Award and a Microsoft Research Faculty Fellowship.
