Education at a Distance for Growth and Excellence (EDGE)

The pace of technology development is accelerating. For engineers in the workplace, finding time to attend school to keep up with the latest advances and techniques can be a monumental task. To ease this burden, the University of Washington College of Engineering offers online learning for employed engineers and others who cannot take courses on campus.

Education at a Distance for Growth and Excellence (EDGE) at the UW College of Engineering is a flexible solution for working professionals. EDGE provides access to four fully accredited Master's Degree programs and 50-60 online, video, and CD-ROM classes every year to help engineers continue their education on their own terms. Pursuing an advanced education from the office or home is as convenient as logging on to our web site. And the quality of education EDGE students receive is identical to on-campus instruction.

Detailed information about EDGE and our degree programs in Aeronautics and Astronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering can be accessed by clicking the links on the left and right side of this page.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email edgeuw@u.washington.edu, call 206.685.2242, or submit this form: Request Information Form
