One of the key goals of the I-Cubed (I3) program is to increase synergy and collaboration across NSF-funded projects. To that end, on this page you will find reports, handouts, presentations, and other documents related to the PEERs program.
The PEERs brochure will be jointly developed by PEERs staff and PEER Leaders and will be disseminated on a local level, to UW students, faculty, and staff, and widely disseminated nationally. It will be made available on the project web site in a format accessible to individuals with disabilities (e.g., text-based option for individuals who are blind and rely on screen reader software). This product will be modeled after the University of Wisconsin’s ADVANCE program’s “Reviewing Applicants: Research on Bias and Assumptions”
brochure and the DO-IT publication, “Working Together: Faculty and Students with Disabilities”
The first CBI was held on April 29, 2009 at the University of Washington. Topics addressed included current diversity efforts across campus, and potential future diversity efforts.
The Campus Climate Survey will be distributed in Year 2 (2010-2011) and will be used to compare the perceptions of underrepresented students pursuing other disciplines, with the experiences of underrepresented students in engineering. More information on the Campus Climate Survey will be forthcoming.
