U.S. Air Force Science and Technology 2030, hosted by the UW College of Engineering

USAF Science & Technology 2030 Forum

The U.S. Air Force is on a mission to invent the future for 2030 and beyond. As our adversaries close the technology gap, the U.S. needs to push the boundaries of what is possible in the areas of science and technology in order to defend America.

In September 2017, Secretary of the U.S. Air Force Heather Wilson launched an initiative to update the Air Force's science and technology strategy. Over the course of a year, the Air Force will listen and learn from the scientific community, higher education and business professionals through a series of conversations and outreach events. Read letter from Secretary Wilson.

With the support of the Air Force Research Laboratory, University of Washington is hosting a forum for the U.S. Air Force and its research community to learn about innovative science ideas that have the potential to fulfill the goals of the USAF 2030 Initiative. We are drawing together faculty, research staff, and technology transfer personnel from institutions of higher education, along with industry research and development professionals.
