About TRANSPEED
Transportation Partnership in Engineering Education Development (TRANSPEED)
What is TRANSPEED?
TRANSPEED is a comprehensive professional development program in transportation engineering and planning offered under the auspices of the University of Washington Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
What is unique about the TRANSPEED Program?
- Public agency staff in Washington State qualify for low tuition rates.
- Courses are available at many locations and in focused formats to minimize travel costs and time away from your job.
- Workshop sessions give you an opportunity to practice what you learn.
- Many courses provide you with extensive materials that serve as on-the-job manuals.
- Why do public agency employees in Washington receive reduced tuition rates?
As part of its mission to provide educational, technical and financial support to local agencies, Washington State Department of Transportation’s Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), with WSDOT Human Resources, underwrites a portion of course expenses. By enhancing technical and management skills of practicing professionals, this support enables local agencies and WSDOT staff to use resources more efficiently.
