A Community of Innovators
The Brand Identity Initiative, led by UW Engineering Communications, has resulted in a flexible brand platform that more accurately represents the world-class, collaborative, and innovative stature of the college. It also provides ways for each department and key program ways to express their own unique assets. This 18 month effort to develop this brand platform closely involved all department chairs and college leaders and included extensive market research. "A community of Innovators" (a phrase penned by our own EE professor John Sahr) and the double gold bar, logos, and other graphics were adopted across the college in spring 2005.
