The purpose of this web site is to connect
faculty with College of Engineering diversity and student programs early
in the NSF proposal writing process to create meaningful and effective
collaboration to "broaden participation of underrepresented groups
(Criterion 2)."
| Rationale
|
NSF
Suggested Activities |
- Explains the requirements for NSF Criterion
2. This site focuses specifically on how to "Broaden
Participation of Underrepresented Groups" although the
activities overlap with many of the approaches for demonstrating
broader impacts.
|
- Lists examples for addressing Criterion 2
from the NSF web site and the corresponding diversity and
programs in the College of Engineering
|
|
COE Resources
|
|
- Lists a variety of ways the College of Engineering
is already working to recruit and retain competitive diverse
engineering students.
|
- Lists examples of small to large NSF awarded
proposals that clearly address criterion 2 in the broader
impacts statement.
