Four UW Engineering Faculty Elected to Washington State Academy of Sciences

Among 37 new members of the Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS) are four faculty members from the University of Washington College of Engineering.

Two were elected by virtue of their election to the National Academy of Engineering:

Dennis P. Lettenmaier, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering

David Stahl, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering


Two were elected by the WSAS membership:

James J. Riley, Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Leung Tsang, Professor of Electrical Engineering


The new members also include 21 others from UW. All will be inducted into the academy at its annual meeting Sept. 20 at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
