Release of Student or Staff Information
Release of Student Information
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student records. The complete University policy on student education records may be found in the Washington Administrative Code in chapter 478-140.
Policies relating to the release of student records are administered by the UW Office of the Registrar. Any requests for student information should be directed to this office. In addition, CoE departments and programs should contact the Registrar's Office for guidelines prior to posting any student information on the Internet or a department intranet.
