Student Societies

AISES
(American Indian Science and Engineering Society)

AISES provides Native American students with a community consisting of representatives from many tribes. Part of the national AISES organization, the society is a center for scholarships, peer tutoring, community activism, social and cultural activities and recruiting.

NSBE
(National Society of Black Engineers)

NSBE consists of over one hundred members and is active in student support, career planning and community service. Scholarships, seminars and assistance in finding summer work are also available.

SHPE
(Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers)

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers chapter is recognized for its recruiting efforts in rural Washington during Spring break. Members visit more than forty middle and high schools with significant Hispanic student populations, giving motivational talks on studying and the pursuit of science and math careers
