Sean Munson joins Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Michigan. His research combines several influence tactics and theories—including public commitments, social proof, and social comparisons—to design, build and evaluate systems that influence positive behavior changes in individuals. His work can be used to help researchers and designers apply social influence in system designs.
Sean’s honors include the Gary M. Olson Outstanding PhD Student Award from the School of Information, University of Michigan in 2010 and the Yahoo! Innovative Teaching with Technology Award in 2009.
