Michael Motley joins the Civil & Environmental Engineering faculty from the University of Michigan where he was a postdoctoral fellow. His research focuses on energy producing and energy-efficient structures, probability and reliability-based design methods, fluid structure interactions, blast resistant structures, and multidisciplinary integrated design methods.
Michael’s honors include the OMAE Best Paper at the 2009 Ocean Renewable Energy Symposium, the Via Fellowship at Virginia Tech, and The Citadel’s Star of the West Postgraduate Fellowship.
