Trip Generation

This two-day course will provide you with an overview of Traffic Impact Statements (TIS) for new developments, the theory and practice of developing Trip Generation numbers for those developments, how to determine off-site and on-site transportation requirements, and how to prepare reports and findings.
The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) methodologies and recommended practices will be the focus of the course. In addition, a discussion of trip generation anomalies and cautions will be included. Case studies will be used to illustrate practical examples, and you will work in teams to analyze problems related to the course content.

Who Should Attend
This workshop is designed for engineers and planners from city, county and state agencies, and for consultants and others involved in the design and approval of new land developments, including the modification of existing facilities.

Course participants will earn 1.4 CEUs/14 PDHs upon successful completion of this course. The CEU is a nationally recognized measure of participation in a noncredit continuing education program that meets established criteria for increasing knowledge and competency.
