If you are a WSDOT project manager who has been asked to manage consultant contracts, this course is for you. You will explore ways to better manage the consultant process by using standard WSDOT procedures for administering and scoping consultant contracts, as well as useful techniques to effectively manage consultant contract negotiations. In addition, you will learn how to estimate costs and develop budgets for consultant contracts, track and control contract progress and manage contract changes. The instructors will use case studies drawn from actual consultant contracts as the basis for course exercises and group activities.
