Culvert Repair and Rehabilitation

Course Faculty: Dwight Reagan

This two-day course adds an operational element to the series of hydraulic and culvert courses offered in the TRANSPEED program. This course will cover culvert repair and rehabilitation techniques, materials and fabrications. Technical, economic and environmental factors related to repair and rehabilitation will be covered. Examples of culvert rehabilitation projects will also be presented. Participants will discuss the comprehensive culvert inventory; a tool which describes the design and construction elements of a culvert system and which aids transportation personnel in identifying problems and developing remedies for those problems.

This course also presents a comprehensive culvert management system including design, construction, maintenance and design improvement phases. This system, when applied as a continuum, can be used to salvage and assure the anticipated service life of culverts, and reduce the need for their replacement.

We will come to you!
