Article authors are encouraged to submit their articles to Professor K Salama during the course of the workshop. this will allow a rapid review and publication process of the papers.
Presenters who plan on presenting their talks using a computer controlled projector are encouraged to bring viewgraphs formatted for an overhead projector as a back up. This will avoid possible delays due to unexpected computer problems.
The workshop will be held in Kane Hall at the University of Washington. The University of Washington campus occupies 684 acres bordering Lake Washington and is located just north of downtown Seattle. The workshop fee is $200, which includes the registration and all conference meals (continental breakfasts, lunches, reception and dinner cruise). After June 20, the fee will be $250. The student fee is $80. Companion fee for the July 11 reception at the University of Washington Faculty Club is $40. Companion fee for the July 12 Puget Sound dinner cruise is $45.
The dinner cruise will be held on Thursday, July 12. Participants will cross Puget Sound to beautiful Kiana Lodge on a chartered boat and will enjoy Olympic Mountain and Seattle skyline views.
A room block has been established for the workshop at the University Silver Cloud Inn, 5036 25th Avenue NE, Seattle, WA 98105. The room block rate is $108. For reservations call 206-526-5200. When making reservations, mention that you are reserving a room in the "Superconductors" room block. The deadline for making room block reservations is thirty days prior to the workshop.
Dormitory rooms in campus residence halls are located a short walking distance from the meeting location. The cost for the 3 night package is $165 per person single occupancy and $120 per person double occupancy (shared room). The package includes breakfast.

Workshop delegates are invited to submit their contributions for publication in a special issue of Superconductor Science and Technology
either
1) at the workshop, July 11-13, to Professor K Salama,
or
2) by post, prior to July 11, to:
Authors should note that a general page allowance of 4 printed journal pages has been set (6 for invited papers). The length of a submission is calculated at 900 words per journal page including an allowance of 300 words per figure or table. Papers do not need to be camera ready, but should be typed in single column format on A4 or US letter size paper.
Submissions should include:
3 copies of the typescript (including set of illustrations) together with an electronic version of the paper on a floppy or Zip disk. This can be prepared using either Microsoft Word or any common variant of TeX, and should include:
(a) Title page with full title of article, name(s) of author(s) and address(es) of establishment(s) where work was carried out;
(b) Abstract;
(c) List of references given in either the numerical or Harvard (alphabetical) system (on a separate sheet);
(d) List of captions for illustrations (on a separate sheet)
Figures should be submitted as separate files, preferably in EPS or TIFF. The text and figure files should be packaged into one archive and compressed using a common facility like PKZip, WinZip or Stuffit.
