Over 800 persons participated in the 2005 Puget
Sound Georgia Basin Research Conference, held March 29-31, 2005 at the Washington State Convention and Trade
Center in downtown Seattle. The Puget Sound Action Team and Georgia Basin Action
Plan partners wish to thank the presenters, sponsors, advisory committee, session chairs and participants for their contribution to the success of the 2005 conference.
This transboundary and international event was built on the highly successful 2003 Research Conference and the five previous Puget Sound Research Conferences supported by the Puget Sound Action Team and its partners. The event draws scientists, First Nations and tribal government representatives, resource managers, community leaders, policy makers, educators and students together to share science and information about the condition and management of the shared Puget Sound Georgia Basin region.
