Tillicum Village Wednesday Evening Banquet
Your four-hour adventure to Tillicum Village on Blake Island State Park begins at Pier 55 on Seattle's central waterfront. Relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery during the one-hour cruise across Puget Sound.
Upon your arrival at the island you will enjoy an award-winning traditionally-baked salmon dinner and a view a spellbinding dance performance depicting the legends and dances of the Northwest Coast Indians. You will also have the opportunity to explore the island's forested trails and picturesque beach walks.
Tuesday Afternoon Tours
One tour is included with your conference registration. Please indicate your choice on your registration form. You may purchase additional tour tickets for the tours.
Boeing Tour
This amazing tour will take you to the enormous Boeing assembly plant in Everett where you will watch a film presentation on the company's historical beginnings, present work and future goals. You will then proceed on a tour of the Technical Center, where you will view 747s in various stages of production on the floor of the largest building in the world by volume (472,000,000 sq. ft.). Ride the Ducks
You’ll have a great time on this unique surf-n-turf tour of Seattle. The hilarious Coast Guard-certified maritime captains will take you on a musical tour of the Emerald City aboard amphibious World War II vehicles; they will show you Seattle from both land and water! You'll see downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, funky Fremont, then, SPLASH into Lake Union for a spectacular view of the city skyline, luxurious yachts, and "Sleepless in Seattle" Houseboats! Seattle Center Shuttle
At the Seattle Center -home of the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle- you’ll find many interesting places to visit, including the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, Science Fiction Museum, Pacific Science Center, IMAX Theater, and the Fun Forest amusement area.
The Seattle Center shuttle will be running between the University of Washington campus and the Seattle Center throughout the afternoon and early evening of June 27th. Specific shuttle information including the schedule and pickup/dropoff locations will be included in your onsite registration information.
Downtown Seattle Shuttle
Shuttle serves the Underground Tour and Pike Place Market Tour
Hop aboard the bus to downtown and take your choice of stops at Pioneer Square or the Pike Place Market. Pioneer Square offers shopping, galleries, restaurants, pubs, and is home to the Underground Tour, a historical, fun tour that gives you a new perspective on Seattle. At Pike Place Market, Seattle's famous 99 year-old farmer's market, you’ll encounter flying fish, local farmers and artisans, and a maze of unique shops. Within walking distance of the market is the waterfront, where you’ll find the Seattle Aquarium, Argosy boat cruises and tourist shops, including Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe. Also in the downtown area is the Seattle Art Museum, located between Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market.
The Downtown Seattle shuttle will be running between the University of Washington campus and the downtown area throughout the afternoon of June 27th.
If you are interested getting a ticket for either the Underground Tour (1.5 hours) or a guided tour of Pike Place Market (1.5 hours), advance registration is required. Each of these tours is approximately one hour in duration. Please check the appropriate box on the registration form. You will take the Downtown Shuttle if you choose to take part in either of these tours. Specific shuttle information including the schedule and pickup/dropoff locations will be included in your onsite registration information.
Winery/Brewery Tour
Taste some of the finest wines and ales that Western Washington has to offer on the winery/brewery tour. The bus will stop for a tour and tasting at the Red Hook Brewery, the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, and the Columbia Winery. (4 hours)
