Welcome

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Transport Canada are proud to announce that the 2005 International Conference on Fatigue Management in Transportation Operations will be held September 11-15, 2005, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers in Seattle, Washington. This important, timely event will feature internationally-renowned speakers and panelists who will offer industry, research, and regulatory perspectives on current and future research and technologies related to fatigue in transportation operations.

The conference seeks to facilitate cross-fertilization of ideas to achieve excellence in the field. It will provide structured discussion sessions on specific technical issues, interactive presentations and themed plenary papers. Interactive panels will provide an opportunity to hear from subject-area experts and to exchange information on the latest research findings, as well as current and future fatigue management tools and techniques. Participants will have ample opportunities to network with speakers and other attendees.

This conference is expected to attract representatives from all transportation sectors, industry, university research centers and government agencies from around the world.
