Abstract Guidelines

The 2005 Abstract guidelines below remain on-line for authors' reference. Carefully review the following abstract preparation guidelines.

  1. Abstracts must conform to the following outline:
    A. Abstract Title (as it will appear in the Program and Proceedings)
    B. Authors and Institutions
    C. Objectives
    D. Approach or Methods
    E. Results
    F. Conclusion
  2. The abstract body (objectives, methods, results, conclusion) is limited to 250 words. Please submit text only; special characters and formatting are not compatible with the on-line submission process.
  3. Brand names may not be used in abstract titles and are limited to one reference within the body.
  4. Total authors are limited to five per abstract.

Included in the word count are the following: objectives, methods or approach, results, conclusion. References, tables, figures, or any other graphics are not permitted in the initial abstract submission.

Abstract Review
All original abstract submissions were reviewed by the technical committee. Papers from accepted abstracts will be published and copyrighted in the conference proceedings. Papers must not substantially duplicate work that any of the authors has published elsewhere or has submitted in parallel to any other conference or workshop that has proceedings.

Note to Authors
Data that have been previously presented elsewhere may be submitted. However, if  your abstract is accepted, you will be required to write an original paper that fulfills accepted criteria for copyright purposes.

Submission of an abstract constitutes the commitment of at least one author to register for the conference and present the abstract as accepted, regardless of presentation type or day/time assigned. Expenses associated with the preparation, submission, and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the author/presenter.
