Construction Site Erosion and Pollution Control Recertification satisfies the Washington Department of Ecology’s requirements for three-year renewal of Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Leads (CESCL). The course reviews some of the basics of erosion and sediment control, then addresses several topics of interest to the experienced practitioner: Risk Management; Inspection and Monitoring; Effective BMPs; Chemical Treatment of Stormwater.

The University of Washington, in collaboration with the Puget Sound Partnership, is offering scholarships to select individuals to attend one of three Low Impact Development courses that will be offered in Seattle in the spring and summer of 2008.
The scholarships are part of the Puget Sound Initiative, the regional, cooperative effort to recover Puget Sound.
Scholarships will be given to up to 25 individuals who meet the following criteria:
Each scholarship is worth $400. Scholarships will reduce the cost of the course for registrants from $550 to $150.
Each LID course is two days in length and consists of one classroom day and one field trip day. Course materials and lunch are included both days. The courses eligible for scholarships are:
