Conference on Rainwater Harvesting

Seattle Public Utilities, the Phinney Neighborhood Center Well Home Program,
and others.

This conference brings together people working in rainwater harvesting including system designers, architects and engineers, home owners and developers, installers and builders, state and local government regulators and others, to talk about their common interests, share their knowledge, network, and lay the foundation for expansion of rainwater harvesting as part of sustainable community development in the Northwest.

Several panel presentations, with plenty of time for discussion, will include:

• Regulatory issues, including building codes and local health regulations.
• Current engineering and design solutions to rainwater harvesting systems, including their use in storm water control.
• Updates on systems currently being installed in the Northwest and a look at hardware to come from Europe and elsewhere.

Registration will include a continental breakfast and afternoon snack. Lunch will be on your own with lots of choices on the Seattle Center grounds and in the nearby Lower Queen Anne neighborhood.
