Over 350 participants attended the 1999 IEEE IEMDC in Seattle. This conference is sponsored by the Power Engineering, Industry Applications, and Power Electronics Societies in response to the need for an IEEE international conference on electric machines and drives. CONTENTS IEMDC99 Conference Headquarters was Cavanaugh's on Fifth Avenue in downtown Seattle. The IEMDC99 technical program featured three days of technical and poster sessions (Monday through Wednesday) and three Sunday tutorials. The Technical Program Committee selected papers for presentation and organized the 1999 Technical Program. Three tutorials, organized by the IEMDC99 Technical Program Committee, were presented on Sunday, May 9, 1999.
This workshop gave participants a hands-on update on operation and maintenance;
machine condition monitoring and advanced diagnostic techniques; machine
upgrades; and applied new technologies. Conference Proceedings were distributed at the conference. The following organizations participated in the 1999 IEMDC exhibit program:
