consists of ten total modules in the areas of mathematics, statistics
and probability:
Mathematics Probability Statistics |
| Instructor: | The course was designed and developed by by Dr. Kailash (Kal) C. Kapur, Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Washington, where he was also the Director from 1993 to 1999. He has also held faculty and administrative appointments at the University of Oklahoma and Wayne State University, as well as positions in industry. He received a Bachelor's degree (1963) in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction from Delhi University; M. Tech. degree (1965) in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology; M.S. degree (1967) in Operation Research; and Ph.D. degree (1969) in Industrial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. In his present position at the University of Washington, Dr. Kapur is responsible for teaching and research in the areas of quality engineering, design reliability, industrial experimental design, system optimization and control, and productivity improvement. |
