People Who Give

Each person who chooses to support UW Engineering has a personal reason: carrying on the tradition of a quality education, supporting innovative research, or contributing to the economic and community impact that UW has on our region. We are deeply grateful for everyone who makes a gift, and we invite you to read more about a few of our alumni and friends who have given back to the area that means the most to them.

Don and his wife, Ruth Mary, made plans to fund the first privately endowed professorship in Electrical Engineering. The fund was established in December 2007. Pictured are Mrs. Close and Leung Tsang, department chair.
