GCC is a leading manufacturer of microprocessors and NT-based servers and has branches in Redmond, WA and Cupertino, CA. GCC was founded in 1978 by two University of Washington graduates. In 2005, a London facility will open.

Position Title:
Hardware Engineering Co-op
Job Summary:
As a co-op, you will be working in a product development environment and may be involved in one or more of the following areas:
logic simulation:
write test cases to simulate logic functions. Write simulation models in either VHDL or C to fit into overall simulations configuration.
logic design:
design logic functions using VHDL
debug:
write C or assembly test code for chip/card lab bringup and debug
Skills Needed:
Logic design/simulation and microprocessor application
C or assembly language
logic analyzer knowledge preferred
Good oral and written communication skills desired
Majors:
Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
Minimum GPA:
2.7/4.0 or better
Class Standing:
prefer sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors
Work Period:
6 month work assignment to start January
Citizenship:
US Citizens, Permanent Residents with Green Card or International Students w/ F-1 visas may apply.
Location:
various locations in Cupertino, CA and Redmond, WA
Pay Rate:
$15-17/hr DOE
