GCC is a leading manufacturer of microprocessors and NT-based servers and has branches in Redmond, WA and Cupertino, CA. GCC was founded in 1978 by two University of Washington graduates. In 2005, a London facility will open.
- Position Title:
- Hardware Engineering Co-op
- Job Summary:
- As a co-op, you will be working in a product development environment and may be involved in one or more of the following areas:
- logic simulation:
- write test cases to simulate logic functions. Write simulation models in either VHDL or C to fit into overall simulations configuration.
- logic design:
- design logic functions using VHDL
- debug:
- write C or assembly test code for chip/card lab bringup and debug
- Skills Needed:
- Logic design/simulation and microprocessor application
- C or assembly language
- logic analyzer knowledge preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills desired
- Majors:
- Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
- Minimum GPA:
- 2.7/4.0 or better
- Class Standing:
- prefer sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors
- Work Period:
- 6 month work assignment to start January
- Citizenship:
- US Citizens, Permanent Residents with Green Card or International Students w/ F-1 visas may apply.
- Location:
- various locations in Cupertino, CA and Redmond, WA
- Pay Rate:
- $15-17/hr DOE
