CAEE OVERVIEW

Research, Learning, Teaching, Diversity, Community

The Center for the Advancement of Engineering Education (CAEE) began in January 2003 with a grant from the National Science Foundation (ESI-0227558). Two NSF Directorates, Engineering and Education and Human Resources, oversee the Center's work. CAEE focuses on the advancement of scholarship on engineering learning and teaching with a goal to inform the practice of engineering teaching. The Center also works to strengthen the research and leadership skills of the engineering faculty and graduate student communities.

CAEE Goals

Five Partner Campuses

CAEE is a collaboration of scholars from five partner institutions (listed below). The campus teams include faculty, postdoctoral research associates, graduate research assistants, undergraduate students, and professional staff. The work of the teams is embodied in three research elements: Scholarship on Learning Engineering, Scholarship on Teaching Engineering, and the Institue for Scholarship on Engineering Education.
