About the Awards
The College of Engineering is committed to celebrating the many achievements and contributions made by outstanding alumni and friends. The College Diamond Awards honor exemplary individuals in four categories:
Distinguished Achievement AwardThis award honors outstanding alumni of the UW College of Engineering who have distinguished themselves by their outstanding knowledge and significant contributions to the field of engineering. The award celebrates the professional, business, academic and personal accomplishments of the recipient.
Award for Entrepreneurial ExcellenceThis award recognizes a graduate of the UW College of Engineering who best exemplifies the ideals of entrepreneurship in any or all of the following ways: been a founder of one or more entrepreneurial ventures; contributed to the engineering profession in ways that are an inspiration to others; used his or her engineering skills and creativity to enrich humanity.
Distinguished Service AwardThe selection of the Distinguished Service Award winner, graduate or friend, will be based upon demonstrated volunteer service to students and faculty at the UW College of Engineering and/or meritorious public service on a local, state, national or international level to advance engineering education and the profession.
Early Career AchievementThis award recognizes outstanding graduates of the UW College of Engineering who have demonstrated exceptional achievement for the first ten years of an engineering career. Career accomplishments, contributions to the profession, excellence in research and education, and volunteer service are considered in making this award.
