Nominee Eligibility:
Nominees must be a faculty member whose home department(s) is within the College of Engineering.
Nominee Criteria:
Nominees should:
- Demonstrate outstanding contributions to engineering education through:
- Exemplary scholarship
- Innovative and lasting contributions to engineering education
- For example: through curriculum or teaching techniques
- High level commitment to students both in and outside of the classroom;
- Understanding and appreciation for the work of engineers
- Show evidence of internal and external impact on long-term, pervasive approaches to improving the educational process

Faculty Innovator for Research |

Nominee Eligibility:
Nominees must be a faculty member whose home department(s) is within the College of Engineering
Nominee criteria:
Nominees should:
- Exemplify excellence in scholarship and research through:
- Extraordinary contributions and dedication to research
- New and innovative research programs
- Encouraging and supporting student research
- Innovative approaches in research, scholarship or creative activities
- Show that research results contribute to the expansion of knowledge or improving quality of life.
- Hold distinction as a scholar as demonstrated through publications, memberships in prestigious professional organizations, and invited lectures and papers.

Teaching Assistant Innovator |

Nominee Eligibility:
Nominees must:
- Have held a Teaching Assistant position in the past 12 months.
Nominee criteria:
Nominees should:
- Demonstrate exemplary teaching, demonstrated by:
- Enthusiasm for the subject and ability to arouse student interest
- Original and innovative approaches in the classroom
- Encouraging interaction with and among students
- Show dedication to quality of the learning experience by collaboratively working with professors to ensure that students’ needs, interests, and problems are addressed.
- Demonstrate concern with intellectual growth for both self and students.

Research Assistant Innovator |

Nominee Eligibility:
Nominees must:
- Have held a Research Assistant position in the past 12 months.
Nominee Criteria:
Nominees should:
- Demonstrate merit in scholarship and research through:
- Extraordinary research and maintaining a high level of dedication to research
- Using innovative approaches in research, scholarship or creative activities
- Show evidence of continued professional growth and achievement

Nominations should include up to three (3) letters of support |

Staff Innovator |

Nominee Eligibility:
Nominees must:
- Be a permanent classified or professional staff member (Research engineers should be included in the professional staff category)
- Employed at least six months in the College of Engineering.
Nominee Criteria:
Nominees should:
- Have significant impact on his/her department or the College of Engineering through:
- Excellent customer service
- Competence and expertise
- Consistency and diligence
- Resourcefulness
- Innovation and creativity.
- Promote positive morale by continually contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Have consistently exceeded expectations on the job.
- For example: by significantly improving a work process or system which increases efficiency or customer satisfaction.

Team Innovators |
| |
Team Eligibility:
Teams must:
- be a group of individuals, faculty, staff, or students, either from various departments and units across the college or within one department or unit, who are united for a common purpose or project
- be groups that work together on a regular basis or have been appointed for a specific work-related purpose
- have ten members or fewer
Team Criteria:
Nominated teams must:
- Be engaged in activities supporting major department and college goals including those related to teaching and research
- Function collaboratively to accomplish team goals using innovative and creative approaches.
- Consistently perform quality work which contributes to the improvement or progress of the department or college.

- Nominations should include up to three (3) letters of support
