College. My Dream, My Plan.
Collaborative for Instructional Development
The Collaborative works with educators in partner GEAR UP schools in Washington State to increase student achievement and ultimately improve college access for low income students.
Classroom teachers, administrators, counselors and GEAR UP personnel receive personalized support through programs that incorporate content, pedagogy, and university-K-12 partnerships. In these programs, educators examine and improve their teaching practice, curriculum, and/or programming.
The Collaborative offers:
- Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues
- Training on current educational research and best practices
- Time to develop and evaluate curriculum and instructional techniques
- Opportunities for educators to present and share their work
- Connections to the University of Washington
- Opportunities to earn credit/and or clock hours
Who Can Attend?
To find out if GEAR UP serves your school district, check the state's Our Programs page. Educators from all Washington state districts listed on this page are eligible to participate in GEAR UP educational programs.
In addition, educators from the Achievers' High Schools are encouraged to participate.
