Ice Cream in a Bag Project
This is really simple, but the key is keeping the bag flying, tumbling, and shaking, so it's best to have a an enthusiastic group participating.
Supplies and Ingredients
- 1 gallon-size zipper-top plastic bag
- 1 quart-size zipper-top plastic bag
- Ice
- 6 Tablespoons rock salt
- 1 cup of milk or half & half
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons sugar
Directions
- In the smaller bag, mix milk, vanilla extract, and sugar. Seal the bag tightly.
- Fill the large bag halfway with ice and add rock salt.
- Place the small bag into the ice and rock salt bag and seal the big bag.
- Toss the bag around, shaking it vigorously for about 10 minutes.
- Open the big bag and remove the small bag, wiping it off before serving the ice cream.
