Discussion:

  1. Cindy Atman announced that CELT is doing a brown bag seminar series. The first seminar will be on April 7, 2000, in 355 Loew Hall. CELT will do an overview of the work they are doing.
  2. CSE and ME coordinators will be gone during the week of the dry run. It was suggested that the evaluators meet with them during the following week or the prior week. Visits with ABET department teams on June 6 or 7 is okay for the other departments.
  3. Transcripts do not need to be provided for the dry run.
  4. "Outcomes" has changed from the last self-study document. Everything else is the same on the new EC2000 self-study.
  5. David Fray described the database he has created for ABET. He would like the departments to tell him what they need. David will create a table that has the correct number of full-time credits for undergraduates and graduates. However, ABET's definition of full-time is 15 credits for both undergrads and grads. David may want to talk to departments about inputting information regarding admissions data. David wants to do all of the data locally rather than by individual departments. David will look at peer institutions to see what data they have, and will try to provide that type of information on the database.
  6. Carolyn Plumb will lead the ABET presentation at the COE Spring Faculty Meeting.
  7. The June 14th ABET Coordinators meeting is cancelled.
  8. Scott Eberhardt brought up a discussion about grade inflation.
