Date Event Details
Deadline is May 31, 2006 Departments prepare their "Self-Study" for the Mock Accreditation Visit Preparation should be in progress. Documents must be submitted in editable pdf.
June 13-15, 2006 Mock accreditation visit ABET Evaluators, Patricia Daniels (Seattle Univ.) and Edwin Jones (Iowa State Univ.) will do a pre-accreditation review of the following CoE programs: AA, ChE, CEE, CompE, EE, IndE, MSE, ME, and CFR's PSE program.
March 2007 Mock accreditation vist James Sweeney (Bioengineer from Florida Gulf Coast University) did the pre-accreditation review of Bioengineering.
January 31, 2007 Deadline to submit request to ABET for evaluation visit to take place in Fall During January, the CoE requests accreditation evaluation for the academic programs.
July 1, 2007 Deadline to submit "Self-Study" to ABET for Accreditation Visit to take place in Fall

June 1, 2007: SELF-STUDIES DUE FROM DEPARTMENTS TO THE DEAN'S OFFICE

June 5: DEAN'S OFFICE GIVES SELF-STUDIES TO PUBLICATIONS SERVICES FOR COPYING & BINDING

June 11: COPIES READY

Week of June 11: DEAN'S OFFICE PACKS THE SELF-STUDIES & SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS FOR MAILING TO ABET HEADQUARTERS AND THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS

Week of June 18: DEAN'S OFFICE MAILS SELF-STUDIES TO ABET, AIChE, and the Departments.

Dean's office will keep all self-studies and supplemental materials to mail to the ABET Team Chair and each Program Evaluator and Observer.

December 2 - 4, 2007 ABET Evaluation visit takes place on-campus

Our ABET Team Chair is Carl E. Locke, Jr. Dr. Locke is a Chemical Engineer from the University of Kansas.

Our ABET Co-Team Chair is Franc E. Noel, an Electrical Engineer.
